One of the true crimes that occurs on any local music scene is the lack of documenting that particular scene’s history. Legends fade, but a documented path of your journey from the genesis to the present is needed for a true understanding of any particular scene. Chris Chirp, HTE Films and The Fraternity have taken a major step in the right direction with ATX We Next. A large section of Austin‘s past and present are discussed in this documentary, and hopefully it’s a jumping off point for a deeper exploration of this talent-rich scene.
