The combination of PNTHN and Jeffrey Garcia has produced nothing but gold so far, and that trend doesn’t look like it’ll be ending anytime soon. For their latest collective effort, PNTHN and Garcia put together an ode to the films of Tarantino, Scorcese and a couple of other prolific filmmakers for the Henny Dreams music video. The result is a wonderful mash-up of bars, a banging beat and hilarious references to iconic moments in film from the past 30 years or so. The work from all parties involved has continued to get better and better with each effort, and I can only imagine where PNTHN and Garcia will land if they keep churning out work of this nature.
Chrome is not the first time that Jeffrey Garcia has directed a video for PNTHN, but so much has happened for both camps since their last collaboration that Chrome serves as exhibit A for evidence of growth. Garcia has become an award-winning short film director, slowly working his way through the independent festival circuit in the search for a big opportunity. PNTHN has taken their potential energy and turned it into tons of exposure and many chances to rock for crowds all over Texas. Chrome could serve as the first true statement video for PNTHN in the wake of their new-found success, and as another wonderful notch in Garcia‘s creative belt. Definitely spread this one around, as everyone involved deserves the love this one is getting.
