Anyone who’s spent any amount of extended time in the San Marcos, Texas area over the past 40 years or so either knew or was aware of Eddie Mack, the notorious and outgoing owner of the Showdown Amusement Bar. In A Hole In The Wall, a documentary created to pay tribute to the man, his bar, and the impact it left on the community, we are given insight into the effect that Mack had on people via candid interviews and archival footage. His arrival to the town, the establishment of his bar, his local campouts that brought the community together and his passing are all examined and reflected upon, with sincerely powerful moments of raw emotion captured as those whose lives that Mack touched take the time to contemplate it.
