It’s been a pleasure watching Rebekah Porter, a very talented visual artist in her own right, find new realms of expression in her time spent around the off-beat auteur that is Jeffrey Garcia. With Henrietta and Her Dismal Display of Affection, Garcia‘s feature-length debut film, in the can and on the way out to the masses, Porter finally showed the world one of the projects she was working on : a VHS-filmed behind the scenes documentary about the daunting task that was making a feature-length film with unknown actors and essentially zero budget. Check out the documentary for some interview footage from the many stars of the film, not to mention some candid moments between cast and crew. If you dig it, leave a like and a comment, and be sure to share it around for everyone to enjoy!

Jeffrey Garcia and his Dream-Atomic cohorts are at it again, and this one is destined to be a classic… we may have a new John Waters on our hands. Whimsy & Hester is definitely a standout film in an already stellar catalog. Izzi Iverson and Rebekah Porter give wonderful performances as the title characters, the supporting cast give performances that support in the truest sense of the word, and the humor is tight and snappy. Jeffrey Garcia and his crew of actors seem to have found a wonderful rhythm, so here’s to hoping that the sustain continues to produce quality material.
