Last Wednesday night, the Chief and TheDoomsdayDevice Facebook page hit 1000 likes.  Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to hit that like button on what is clearly the most important social invention of our lifetime next to learning how to speak.  Here’s to that number reaching 2000, and 5000, and 10000, and higher than any of us can ever imagine.  If you haven’t yet, take the time to like the Facebook Page, and encourage others to do the same.  We’re in this together.

Epic Return :: ‘DOOMWAR 2’ Now Available

Here’s another one from Jamar Equality and Ruler Why Recordings.  DOOMWAR was Jamar Equality dropping dope lyrics over dope MF DOOM beats.. and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?  Consider DOOMWAR 2 the sequel in all of the best ways possible.  Loving these small doses of dopeness, and looking forward to Ruler and Jamar possibly collaborating on a project of original rhymes and production.. we can hope, right?

Family Reunion :: Exploded Drawing SXSW Compilation 2016

Every year about this time, the homies at Exploded Drawing decide to show the masses how a super talented collective holds it down.  I always look forward to SXSW time for a small handful of reasons (most having very little to do with the actual event), and this annual compilation is always at the top of that list.  Also, for the fourth time, I got a Chief and TheDoomsdayDevice track included.  Free download.. why don’t you already have it?

Harmonic Resonance :: ‘Slow Burnout’ Audio-Visual Hits The Internet

I’ve been busy this month.  It’s time to start making my audio-visual output match the size of my catalog.  Here is another in a line of recent visual pieces created for my music.. this one for Slow Burnout, off the album of the same name.  Dig it and dig it good!

Universal Soul :: Mr. Composition Shows The ‘Seat Of The Soul’

San Antonio hip-hop wordsmith Kevin Prince (often known as Mr. Composition) has put together a solid video for Seat of The Soul.  The song, featuring a quick assist from Avitt Green and Hacksaw, is a testimonial about getting lost in the creative process, and all that comes with it.  The video has that classic 90’s vibe to it.  Definitely good stuff, and definitely worth your time.

Good Combinations :: Onry Ozzborn’s ‘Duofilm’

Just push play, because it’s pointless trying to sell this little piece of amazing presented to us via Onry Ozzborn.  Lots of familiar faces in this one.

Unstoppable Objects :: MDK Drops New Video

I’m consistently impressed by the work ethic shown via the Mindz of a Different Kind crew.  They’ve been downright prolific for the past year or so in terms of creative output, and that trend seems like it will continue.  The latest video is No Sleep No Breaks pt. 2, featuring bars from almost every member of the crew.  You know the drill.. like it, share it, and subscribe to their YouTube channel for the latest output.

Last Words :: Tank Washington Shows Us ‘Never’

LNS crew member Tank Washington is setting himself up for a solid 2016.  His long-awaited debut album Pain is set to be released soon, and he’s setting off the charge with the release of his first single and video, Never.  This song and video remind me of that transition period in the 90s where hip-hop wasn’t afraid to get deeply personal, but the tone and approach were shifting into something new.  I look forward to hearing and seeing what Tank and the rest of the LNS cats have in store for us this year.

Stand Up :: ‘Chairs Missing’ Audio-Visual Now Available From Chief And TheDoomsdayDevice

I, Chief Doomsday, am a machine when it comes to the creativity.  I am hoping that one day the quality of my work in reality matches what I see in my head.  Every day, I make steps closer to achieving that goal.  While not a masterpiece, I feel that Chairs Missing is a major step in the right direction in terms of where I want to be.  If this is the low bar for the rest of my audio-visual output, I can accept that.

Honesty Policy :: Da’Shade Moonbeam’s ‘Girl Song’ Audio-Visual

Here’s a dope audio-visual from the longtime homeboy Da’Shade Moonbeam for his introspective Girl Song.  The approach is similar for the video and the song.. never judge a book by it’s cover, because being pleasantly surprised is one of the best parts of male-female interaction.  I’m definitely looking forward to more material from Guerilla Reel.
