Some good old fashioned raw rap straight from LoEG’z member Domincan Jay.  Tons of dope production, solid guest bars, and truth coming straight the man of the hour on his debut album Reality Rap.  Definitely worth your time and support.

Trill Talk :: ‘They Wrong (Bruh)’ By @Mirage512

Mirage‘s journey through 2016 of bringing us the audio-visual project #TheAmeliorationCollection has been a wonderful journey to witness.  They Wrong (Bruh) marks my second involvement in the editing process, and this song is straight up hot flames.  Arson Optics comes through with a banger on production, and Mirage drops knowledage the only way he knows how.  Highly recommended viewing.

Elemental Sounds :: Keeper Releases ‘Corners’

Keeper has been a blessing to the Austin music scene.  Four beautiful voices, solid concepts and songwriting, and constantly wonderful production (handled this go-round by the unmatched genius of Bird Peterson).  On Corners, each song represents an element, and with that simple concept, Keeper takes us on a wonderful journey.  Very happy to see this hit, and very excited about what the future holds in terms of full-lengths, music videos and so on.

Finer Things :: KB The Boo Bonic Shows ‘I Want That’

The homegirl KB the Boo Bonic has been making tracks lately.  Catching flights, playing shows far away from home, and genuinely taking the steps needed to grow the KB brand.  The latest visual/audio collaboration with The Moon GuysI Want That, is an expression of these latest experiences, and hope that the travels and experiences continue to come with greater abundance.  Another solid win for KB the Boo Bonic.

Sure Shots :: Ben ‘McNasty’ Buck Drops ‘Steak Sauce’

Ben ‘McNasty’ Buck and Ruler Why have been in the studio putting in work on what is sure to be a dope debut album.  Between Ruler‘s production and McNasty‘s verbal/beatboxing prowess, I’d expect nothing but the freshest creations.  Steak Sauce is a warning shot for what I imagine will be the megablast coming in the near future.

Fresh Testament :: TrillAlumniDJ Drops ‘NEW DOPE’ Visuals

One of the best parts of curating a blog is coming across stuff you may not otherwise have crossed paths with.  I am not very familiar with TrillAlumniDJ to be honest, but I know style when I see style, and the video for NEW DOPE has all kinds of style oozing out of it.  Dope beat, solid lyrics and a unique visual take all have me interested to hear more.  I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out.

Psychadelic Confessional :: Moodie Black Drops ‘V a n o w e n’ Visuals

The homeboys Moodie Black never have been ones to shy away from giving it to you raw.  The latest single and video, V a n o w e n, featuring the guest vocals of Pierre Mottron, is almost like stumbling upon an old video tape in a drawer in an attic that shifts your entire perspective.  Dope on the visual front, intriguing musically and  lyrically, and an all around brain-scrambler of an experience.  Worth your time, worth your shares, and worth your support.

Systematic Beast :: ‘Under The Jail’ From Dominican Jay, $ Dot And Reggie Colby

It’s a tough climb when you’re trying to escape the belly of the beast.  Domincan Jay, along with League of Extraordinary G’z brethren $ Dot and Reggie Colby tell you all about it in the new video for Under The Jail.  It’s a tale as old as time itself, but with new faces partaking daily.  Do what you can to get by, and pray that you don’t get taken under.

Legacy Shaping :: Grid Squid Visualizes ‘Facts Versus Fiction’

Everybody who performs music has dreams of reaching as many eyes and ears as possible.  The rare breed from that vast spectrum are those who make steps towards actually spreading their word.  Grid Squid Entertainment has been doing just that the past couple of years via several stints on the road.  Their latest video, Facts Versus Fiction, is a prime example of them spending time touring, exploring their sound, and exploring their dynamic as a unit (and individuals within the unit).  Throw in a nice closing verse by AK1, and you’ve got yourselves something enjoyable for sure.  Share the video around and show these cats some love.

Deep Rooted :: Mindz Of A Different Kind (MDK) Connects With Abstract Rude and Myka9 To Visualize ‘For All’

In keeping with the pattern of big things happening for Austin music this month, the hometown hero crew of MDK (Mindz of a Different Kind) have connected with hip-hop legends Myka9 and Abstract Rude to bring the video treatment into reality on the single For All.  Production by Blueprint as well?  You already know.  Classic.
