POST 100

Thank you to everyone who currently follows chiefandthedoomsdaydevice.com, who retweets, who subcribes, and to everyone who has taken part in this creation.  We’ve only just begun to live.  Here’s a nice image I recently found I’d like to share, then it’s back to business as usual from here on out (until the next milestone, that is).

New Music Alert :: “Ego Trippin'” by Promise Psuedo

Promise Psuedo, one of the harder working hip-hop cats in the central Texas area, has been busy at work on a new project, The Television Will Not Be Revolutionized.  Here is a sneak preview of sorts… take a listen to Ego Trippin’, the first single, and take a free download while you’re at it.

Coming Soon :: New Music from Da’Shade Moonbeam

from the digital desk of Da’Shade Moonbeam:

This track has been in the making for 3 years now.  Originally it started with the music you hear on it now, except it was not mixed.  It got close to 10,000 plays in the MYSPACE era.  I am giving it new life on the “Just Me EP” and the 2012 Album “A Sun Sized Moon.”  It is still new, and still very much a banger to me! Enjoy!

New Music Alert :: Chief and Mnolo present Mixed Signal Transmission

Here is the first batch of mixes from the forthcoming collaboration between myself and my longtime friend, the super producer Mnolo.  The project is titled Mixed Signal Transmission… it will feature guest appearances from SymmaTree, Tone Maintain of The Locksmiths, Ibrahim of Parking and more.  Crawling Lessons and Latchkey Kid are available for free download (donations accepted, as always):

The artwork is by my man Esrever-Ni-Tra… stay tuned for more.

Tantra Coffee House :: Corporate Elvis meets Electric Mayhem

One of my favorite recent bands to work with is Corporate Elvis.  Guitarist Robert Andrew and Drummer/Singer Mike Hidalgo Pittman are quite the dynamic duo, and every time I see them, I see improvement.  Here are some highlights from our recent show at Tantra Coffee House:

MLK Day Celebration :: Cypher at the ND

From the digital desk of Eric Morgan (Crew 54):

I caught this piece of a freestyle cipher last night after the show in front of the ND. Raps by D.O.S., Dubb Sicks, Flynn D, Virt and Tray God, with beats by Bryte Blaqu and random other folks. TABLET LIFE SWAG.

Exploded Drawing XI :: A Quick Recap

For those that missed it, Exploded Drawing XI was AMAZING.  It truly is rare to see that many people gather regularly strictly to show appreciation for producers and DJs.  Many props to soundfounder and Butcher Bear for putting together an event of this nature, and having the ability to make it successful.  Here are some of the highlights I was able to capture:

I was unable to record any video of my set, but I have made the set available for download… and believe me, it’s worth it.  A nice stream of consciousness I call Freedom Talk 100.

Spinning Shell web series :: Da’Shade Moonbeam

My man Da’Shade Moonbeam seems to be in the midst of a very creative stretch in time.  Spinning Shell has been keeping up with him and the recording of his new project, and webisodes are being created as completion of the project nears.  Here are two of them, so that you can get a feel for what’s going on.
