Spirits Moving :: Tank Washington’s ‘R.I.P. POP’ Video Hits Hard

LNS Crew has never been a collective afraid to grow, whether it be style-wise or personally.  This time around, we find Tank Washington getting deeply person on his music video for R.I.P. POP, a lament to his deceased father.  The song and video honestly speak for themselves.  Take a moment and take it all in.

Darkest Light :: Ghost Palace’s ‘Pushing Through Darkness’ Now Available

Ghost Palace are a dope combination that somehow manages to be severely dope while still showing infinite promise with each step they take.  Pushing Through Darkness is a brief but powerful journey through the mind of MC Evolve that exists in the sonic landscape provided by beatsmith Progeny.  Beats and bars… that’s hip hop.  These guys do it damn well.

Dynamite Duo :: Retr0gRaDe Touch Down

Retr0spect kills on the beats.  Rudi Devino handles the mic duties.  The final result, Retr0gRaDe, is a breath of fresh air coming out of the Austin hip hop scene.  The group’s self-titled debut album is DOPE.  These two make one hell of a collaboration.. definitely looking forward to seeing them live, hoping they have room for guest bars on a future release.

More Hits! :: Now That’s What I Call FeAls Vol. 1

a2463173459_10

Once a week, a group of innovate producers from Texas and beyond, collective known as Feedback Alliance, receive the following : a sample pack, an assigned BPM, and minimal instructions.  From there, magic is made, and a weekly mix is loaded to their Soundcloud page.  And, as one would assume, it’s always dope.

The fellas have decided to create Now That’s What I Call FeAls Vol. 1, a compilation created to celebrate the group and their approach to keeping their music making tools and senses sharp.  Check it out, keep up with these guys, and get your weekly dose of audio amazing.

Coded Languages :: Multi-Tracker’s ‘Code Switching’ Now Available

a2908691927_10

Multi-talented producer and instrumentalist Multi-Tracker has dropped one of the dopest albums to come out of the (in)Sect Records camp.  Not that the rest of the company’s catalog is subpar, but Code Switching is speaking to me.  Dig it and dig it good.

Epic Return :: ‘DOOMWAR 2’ Now Available

Here’s another one from Jamar Equality and Ruler Why Recordings.  DOOMWAR was Jamar Equality dropping dope lyrics over dope MF DOOM beats.. and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?  Consider DOOMWAR 2 the sequel in all of the best ways possible.  Loving these small doses of dopeness, and looking forward to Ruler and Jamar possibly collaborating on a project of original rhymes and production.. we can hope, right?

Family Reunion :: Exploded Drawing SXSW Compilation 2016

a1713684231_10

Every year about this time, the homies at Exploded Drawing decide to show the masses how a super talented collective holds it down.  I always look forward to SXSW time for a small handful of reasons (most having very little to do with the actual event), and this annual compilation is always at the top of that list.  Also, for the fourth time, I got a Chief and TheDoomsdayDevice track included.  Free download.. why don’t you already have it?

Harmonic Resonance :: ‘Slow Burnout’ Audio-Visual Hits The Internet

I’ve been busy this month.  It’s time to start making my audio-visual output match the size of my catalog.  Here is another in a line of recent visual pieces created for my music.. this one for Slow Burnout, off the album of the same name.  Dig it and dig it good!

Universal Soul :: Mr. Composition Shows The ‘Seat Of The Soul’

San Antonio hip-hop wordsmith Kevin Prince (often known as Mr. Composition) has put together a solid video for Seat of The Soul.  The song, featuring a quick assist from Avitt Green and Hacksaw, is a testimonial about getting lost in the creative process, and all that comes with it.  The video has that classic 90’s vibe to it.  Definitely good stuff, and definitely worth your time.
