True Grit :: Ghost Palace Drops ‘Vampires’ Visual

Ghost Palace stays putting in work.  Like, to a ridiculous degree.  Emcee Evolve and beatsmith Progeny are currently putting the finishing touches on their latest project, Road To Nowhere (Still Running), which should see the light of day come November.  The first single and video, Vampires, is the standard dose of dope you’d expect from these guys.  Props to Seattle artistic mastermind Graves 33 on the direction of this video.

Dark Fantasy :: Dank $inatra Drops ‘Winning’ Video

Winning, the latest visual from Austin (by way of Atlanta) emcee Dank $inatra, is on some gritty vibes.  We’re talking darkness in the daytime gritty.. like the movies we all love.  The song is a banger, and the visuals are strong.  This one is dope, and definitely has the potential to rack up major views.  Looking forward to more quality work from this neck of the woods, hopefully in the near future.

Soulful Journeys :: Syllable Drops ‘Name Its Beauty’

Sometimes, you’ve gotta turn on the beat, slip on your headphones, fire up the mic, and allow yourself to be taken somewhere on a track.  It appears that Syllable has done just that with his latest creation, Name Its Beauty.   It’s a refreshingly candid song, extremely honest.  Take a listen, because it just may inspire you somehow, someway.

Evan Moran has never shied away from spilling his soul for the listener.  For those that appreciate true exploration of the self, the trials and tribulations we all face, and the search for some sort of understanding, Evan Moran is your spokesperson.  EMOR provides us a journey between deeply moody instrumentals and wholly introspective songs, all of which let us know that we’re not alone in this madness called life.  Show your love and support a true independent sonic philosopher.

Trill Talk :: ‘They Wrong (Bruh)’ By @Mirage512

Mirage‘s journey through 2016 of bringing us the audio-visual project #TheAmeliorationCollection has been a wonderful journey to witness.  They Wrong (Bruh) marks my second involvement in the editing process, and this song is straight up hot flames.  Arson Optics comes through with a banger on production, and Mirage drops knowledage the only way he knows how.  Highly recommended viewing.

Elemental Sounds :: Keeper Releases ‘Corners’

Keeper has been a blessing to the Austin music scene.  Four beautiful voices, solid concepts and songwriting, and constantly wonderful production (handled this go-round by the unmatched genius of Bird Peterson).  On Corners, each song represents an element, and with that simple concept, Keeper takes us on a wonderful journey.  Very happy to see this hit, and very excited about what the future holds in terms of full-lengths, music videos and so on.

Audio Paradise :: Petey Pastel’s ‘Electric Palm Trees’

a2908836870_10

Pretend Agenda artist Kilmatik has always been one of the more unique and adventurous MCs in the Austin scene.  The Kool Keith influence is undeniable, and this project takes it one step further.  Kilmatik rhymes under the name Petey Pastel on this one, with production duties handled by Battle Axe Records alumni and legend Moka Only.  DJ Bless 1ne handles his business on the cuts, and a handful of guest artists round out this wonderful experience of an album.  I’m a little late to the party on reporting this one, but better late than never.

Psychadelic Confessional :: Moodie Black Drops ‘V a n o w e n’ Visuals

The homeboys Moodie Black never have been ones to shy away from giving it to you raw.  The latest single and video, V a n o w e n, featuring the guest vocals of Pierre Mottron, is almost like stumbling upon an old video tape in a drawer in an attic that shifts your entire perspective.  Dope on the visual front, intriguing musically and  lyrically, and an all around brain-scrambler of an experience.  Worth your time, worth your shares, and worth your support.
